A to Z of Post Brexit Trade
The A – Z of International Post Brexit Trade
For many decades the UK, as members of the EU, have - depending on your perspective - benefitted from or been restricted by the trade deals made between the EU and other countries around the world. When we leave the EU we will need to make new agreements with all of our trading partners, old (such as the EU) and new (such as the USA). The Brexit ‘buzz’ has so far been largely around getting the UK to the point of departure from the EU, however, once we leave the focus will shift to the negation of new trade agreements. You’ll hear lots of different terminology, some of which has very significant implications for agriculture, this A to Z of all things post-Brexit trade-related explains what these key terms mean.
