North East Small Holder Discussion Group – Event Summary

A well-attended evening which provided information on funding opportunities and held discussions about:

• Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service
• Croft and Small Farm Subscription
• Small Farm Grant Scheme
• Agri-Environment Climate Scheme

The evening provided an overview of Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service and how to access advice, as well as information about the subsidised Croft and Small Farm subscription.  The Small Farm Grant Scheme was discussed and included eligibility criteria as well as covering some items which were and were not eligible for funding.

Attendees interests and potential topics for future meetings were discussed as well as the distance travelled to attend the meeting.  Due to a range of geographical locations, it is intended that future meetings take place in different locations.
