Networking & Support
Networking, meeting other people starting out, making contacts with key industry people and hearing others ideas is a fantastic route, to being motivated and inspired to continue on your journey as a new entrant.
Through the New Entrants to Farming Programme, we have a network of local regional groups whom meet up 2-3 times throughout the year along with guest professionals, they discuss business and technical subjects relevant to new entrants.
To enhance the group work, we hold an annual “gathering” and release two newsletters per year. The aim of the “gathering” is to inform and inspire people entering the agricultural industry, this is an extremely useful event to anyone new to the industry or indeed any young people working within agriculture.
New Entrants to Farming Programme also hosts a Facebook page, to highlight any opportunities or good news stories within the network @NewEntrants
