(Please see What3words below for exact location)

FARM WILDLIFE WALKS IS BACK! | Two years ago the Farm Advisory Service launched the Farm Wildlife Walks initiative, an attempt to promote grass-roots conversations around nature conservation and the positive impacts of nature-friendly farming practices in combating the biodiversity crisis.

This upcoming meeting will be hosted by the Scott-Park family at Portnellan farm, keen to discuss and showcase their thoughts on biodiversity auditing and explore the potential for the Nature Restoration Fund to build a more nature-rich Loch Lomond. We’ll also cover habitat mapping and implications for the Whole Farm Plan. Also up for discussion is their decision to go organic and we will spotlight some habitats of particular note on the farm too.

So join FAS for the third Central and West meeting in the series, as we hear from Freda and the rest of the family about their efforts to promote biodiversity and how farming can rise to the challenges facing the industry.

This meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th September from 3:30pm at Portnellan farm, Gartocharn, Alexandria, G83 8NL.

All welcome, please bring clothing and footwear for the outdoors. A light supper will be provided.
