Alternatives to Land Ownership – West Region

Join us on Saturday 12th November from 10am – 1pm at Upper Cleuch Farm, Lockerbie by kind permission of Stuart & Chloe Graham for a joint FAS and SAYFC meeting.
We will have a farm tour where there will be the opportunity to hear how Stuart and Chloe secured their tenancy on the 370-acre Crown Estate Farm whilst contract farming a further 200 acres nearby. The couple have further diversified their farming income through contract rearing lambs and providing technical support for Sheep breeding firm Innovis, providing B & B accommodation for a local dairy’s heifers and most recently through the addition of a pick your own Pumpkin patch. Representatives from the Scottish Land Matching Service will also be in attendance to inform of opportunities in the area. Plus a panel discussion with fellow new entrants Andrew Jardine and Laura Hinnekens.
Lunch will be available.
