Lothians Small Farms Workshop, Cross Compliance & Tagging – Event Summary

The smallholders discussion group met in the Stair Arms, Pathhead.  Jonathan Black delivered a presentation on Good Agricultural Environmental Condition (GAEC) and Statutory Management Rules (SMR) and highlighted the main areas of concern and those most likely to lead to penalties.

Craig Bothwell spoke about tagging livestock and record keeping.

• Register (SGRPID Animal Health, SAMU, SCOTEID CTS Online)
• Record everything (tagging, re tagging, movements deaths etc)
